Bara Iro no Kenkyuu to Hana Kurafu Kimi

A man known as Hachisugawa, nicknamed the flower eater, meets Kuzonoha, who is conducting research on the "shining rose." Kuzonoha recognizes Hachisugawa as his childhood first love. Kuzonoha started his research because his former love once dreamed of eating the shining rose, but the flower's scent causes him to choke, leading to a kiss. The story also follows Asa and Mitya from Asa to Micha.
