美童若旦那、恋慕ふは好色男
Tenji, the second son of a draper, is a kind and gentle young man with a love for beautiful objects, especially hairpins. He meets Shunsuke, a hairpin craftsman he admires, and is invited to see his workplace. Excited, Tenji follows Shunsuke to his home, not realizing that Shunsuke mistakes him for a woman. Shunsuke, a charismatic man who is open to many but indifferent to those who move on, becomes surprised upon learning Tenji is male. The story unfolds as a visually rich Edo-era tale exploring the complex relationship between the two men.
