A 26-year-old man named Wataru Toyohashi lives a monotonous life, working and returning home each day. One evening, he hears a loud noise from his neighbor’s apartment and finds the neighbor, Takatsuki, crying and sitting on the floor. Takatsuki explains he hadn’t eaten because he became too absorbed in his remote work. While Toyohashi was already cooking, he invites Takatsuki to join him for dinner. Takatsuki is deeply moved by the simple meal and expresses a desire to eat together regularly. This leads to weekly weekend gatherings at Toyohashi’s small dining table, where he, Takatsuki, and his two cats share meals. Over time, these quiet dinners begin to shift the rhythm of Toyohashi’s life.
