BITTER: Nakechau Koi Monogatari

A compilation of short romantic tales by different manga creators. One story follows Kanta, a fifth-grader on a small island, who is reluctant when a new girl, Ritsuka, transfers to his class. Kyo, his classmate, hopes to marry Kanta one day and tries to help Ritsuka adjust, but Kanta becomes more interested in Ritsuka. Another story centers on Ei, who joins a racing team with the goal of becoming a top racing queen, only to discover the harsh realities of the role. A third tale involves Hayato, who asks Fumio to be his girlfriend before moving to England, and the two spend their final month together building a garden. A fourth story features Sakura, a class representative who is aided by a mysterious boy, leaving her confused and fearful. A final story follows Rui, who is always late on dates but changes after meeting Shiyouta, and another about Eisei, a tomboyish girl who falls for a male waiter at a cafe and is mistaken for a boy.
