Biwa no Ki no Shita de
枇杷の樹の下で
A series of brief narratives explores the feelings of teenagers. One boy with measles remains in bed as his sister and a friend prepare for tests; on a rainy day, unknown children gather in a library for shelter; a girl is unfairly blamed by a teacher and assigned to clean a science room. Seven more stories, each appearing simple, are compiled, portraying with great subtlety the emotions of young people beginning to experience the early stages of sexual awareness.
