Black Out

Kuroki steps in as a substitute pitcher during Koshien after another player gets injured. He plays well until an incident in the final inning leads to his team's loss. After the game, he notices Suzuki, who failed to catch the final ball, smiling. Kuroki becomes angry and starts a fight, leading to his school's ban from Koshien. For two years, he stays away from school. He then gets a strange letter from Suzuki, followed by news of Suzuki's death. Kuroki believes the death was not a suicide and decides to uncover the truth.
