Blade Girl: Kata Ashi no Runner

A 16-year-old girl named Rin struggles with the challenges of living with a prosthetic leg after losing hers a year earlier. She is exhausted by the physical therapy, the way others treat her, and the cumbersome nature of her current prosthetic. Her perspective shifts when she meets the Blade Runners, a team of athletes who use specialized carbon fiber prosthetics designed for running by a skilled prosthetist named Kazami. These prosthetics are lightweight and flexible but extremely hard to control—Rin struggles even to walk with one. Through repeated failures, she begins to rediscover lost aspects of herself and sets a new objective: to compete in the Paralympics.
