Rin stopped practicing calligraphy after her mother passed away. After seeing the calligraphy of Uchida Dougen, a high school calligraphy expert, she began practicing again. She enrolled in the same school as Dougen and joined the calligraphy club, which is more of a fan club for him. When the student council announced the club would be disbanded, Rin took steps to save it. Dougen, who had come to support the president, joined the club after being intrigued by Rin's words. He is secretly somewhat of a playboy. The story explores Rin's efforts to protect the club and her connection with Dougen.
