Amami Riza, a descendant of a mermaid, possesses a jewel containing mermaid power. After transforming into a mermaid for the first time, she is discovered by her classmate Kanda Ruka, who requests mermaid tears believed to have healing properties. Unbeknownst to Riza, Ruka is afflicted by a curse.
