Ebisu Shugo has long been admired as the ideal student, consistently meeting others' expectations since childhood. Upon entering high school, he is dethroned as the most popular student by Meguro Saku, a member of the basketball team. Determined to reclaim his top position, Ebisu shifts his focus to surpassing Meguro.
