Ho-Yeon is an eight-tailed fox who can only advance to nine tails by earning the love and contentment of his human bride, Ok-Nan. His progress is stalled, however, by Ok-Nan's persistent indifference toward him, which leaves him increasingly exasperated. The question hanging over the story is whether her affection will ever materialize and allow Ho-Yeon to complete his transformation.
