Madalyn, an unemployed single mother, attends a job interview and meets Philip, the company's CEO. Expecting to be turned away, she is surprised when he reviews her resume and offers her a position as his secretary. Though Philip is demanding and strict in the workplace, Madalyn's dedication to providing for her child draws his attention. He becomes increasingly concerned for her well-being.
