A thirty-something high school teacher named Saijou Misao has become so distant from the idea of love that his students tease him about it. One evening, while drinking alone at a bar, he encounters Takashi Ryouhei, a sales representative for teaching materials with whom he has only a passing familiarity. However, Misao notices that Takashi appears different than usual.
