In a 1960s America with supernatural elements, a magician cursed with a deadly affliction uses a magical gun and is aided by a childlike partner named Titi-Alice, who helps suppress his curse. They attempt to infiltrate a casino controlled by the Leland Gang to steal a magical weapon. Their mission goes awry, drawing in Paula Winston, an undercover journalist posing as a waitress. She becomes entangled in their efforts as Bullet tries to accomplish an undisclosed objective while protecting her from the Leland Gang.
