Bungou no Oyatsu

Postwar Japan is starved for reading material, with queues forming outside bookshops, and Tsubame Takanashi has just started at a tiny literary press called Nekorobido. Her first real assignment is to pry a manuscript out of Nero Uguisudani, a novelist notorious for his temperament, who announces he will hand nothing over until someone fetches his favorite confections. Convinced this is a test of her editorial mettle, Tsubame races off to Ginza, not realizing the whole errand is just a stalling tactic.
