Ougai Mori assumes leadership of the Port Mafia and tasks the young Osamu Dazai with looking into a troubling rumor about a mysterious entity known as “Arahabaki.” This entity appears linked to Mori’s late predecessor, and he wants the past left undisturbed. During the investigation, Dazai encounters Chuuya Nakahara, a teenager with the ability to manipulate gravity and the leader of a group called the Sheep. Though they will later become the notorious pair known as Twin Dark, at this point they must overcome their differences to uncover the truth behind the mystery.
