Hochi is a fox born accidentally from a tail of Chunho, a nine-tailed fox. He appears less capable than his twin, Jaho, and is ultimately sent away by Chunho as a gift to Yangmang, their enemy. After this, rumors spread about a beautiful woman who entertains townspeople with engaging stories.
