A high school student named Yachi Haruaki is resistant to curses. His father, Honatsu, sends cursed objects known as "Worse" for him to destroy. One day, Haruaki receives a black cube from Honatsu. That night, he meets a silver-haired girl who appears naked and is stealing rice crackers. She is the human form of the black cube, a torture device called "Fear in Cube." Haruaki and Fear work together to fight other "Worse" instruments and their users, utilizing Fear's 32 torture mechanisms.
