A group within the government called the Suppression Corps combats creatures referred to as "Witches," which have no interest other than killing humans and transforming them into Witches. These beings are unaffected by standard weapons. Hensel Takamine commands the Suppression Corps and harbors intense animosity toward the Witches. He wields a sword equipped with the ability to eliminate Witches, driven by a desire for vengeance against those who killed his sister.
