Daitoh Tai, a multi-sport national champion, became interested in professional wrestling and joined Japan Pro Wrestling, led by Rikidozan. Despite his small stature, he used his athletic training to compete against formidable wrestlers like Chief Reaper, Mr. 50 Megaton, The Coconuts, and Dr. Schmidt. With support from Ruriko, a girl who managed an orphanage, his friend Goro, and the disciplined coaching of Rikidozan, Tai developed into a capable wrestler.
