Nakamura Yukiko is a 13-year-old girl adjusting to life in a town after moving from a mountain village. She lives with her mother and older brother. The move followed her mother's new job. Yukiko struggles to adapt to the busier environment and misses her old friends. She wonders if she will ever grow to like her new surroundings.
