Chijeong

Soon-ock ascends to the position of queen consort through the efforts of her father and his supporters. She becomes entangled in a violent struggle between the king and the crown prince. Faced with danger, she resolves to protect herself and her partner, Hyang-yi. To do so, she enters into an agreement that may bring either great benefit or ruin. A key part of the arrangement requires her to use Hyang-yi. The story unfolds in the royal court of medieval Korea, focusing on themes of conspiracy, desire, and ambition.
