After losing both parents, a young girl is left to care for her nephew following the death of her older sister, who had taken on the role of a single mother. When the sister dies in a car accident, the girl must step in to raise the child alone. With limited support from friends and a compassionate landlady, she faces the difficulties of caring for an infant.
