Chikyuu Tansa Houkoku Loneliness

A science fiction narrative follows an alien stationed in Ikebukuro, tasked with studying Earth. Struggling to comprehend humans, who seem preoccupied with money and sex, the alien begins to doubt his role in the xenoprobe mission. His perspective shifts when he encounters a man named Honda, who adopts an Earth identity. The alien grows to admire Honda, who leads him through the city as a mentor figure referred to as a "space senior." Initially published in the late 1990s in the Comic Beam, the series was later compiled into tankoubon form in 2018, two decades after its initial run.
