Chrono Monochrome

A young chess prodigy named Inubuse Kuromu once competed for Japan in the World Youth Chess Championship at age 11. After losing to an enigmatic, wolf-like player, he developed an aversion to sitting across from others. This led him to abandon competitive chess and focus entirely on his studies, even to the point of breaking his fingers. Three years later, he continues to play online, clinging to his "King" title. He faces a powerful new opponent, beginning a journey to reclaim his place as King.
