Nanasawa Io became an outcast after his family died in a mysterious fire. Students at his school avoid him, and animals near him die unexpectedly, prompting an investigation by a group called the Titans. The Titans seek out and eliminate Kagetsuki, individuals possessed by harmful shadows. What they learn about Io, however, turns out to be different from what they anticipated.
