His inquiry reveals growing disorder, raising questions about its link to the Underworld. The Yama, originating from East Asian mythology, once numbered ten, each with distinct roles. The Fifth Yama, dissatisfied with his administrative work, has left for the Mortal World, accompanied by an Underworld employee named Bai Wuchang. They are reportedly seeking the Sixth Yama, who disappeared in the Mortal World a thousand years ago. At the same time, another Underworld official, Magistrate Cui Pan, has traveled to the Mortal World to look into these events.
