A teenage girl known online as "Smile" is concerned about the appearance of her teeth. A quiet boy called "Cherry" uses haiku to express emotions he finds difficult to share otherwise. The two meet after an incident at a shopping mall and begin to connect through their contrasting ways of expressing themselves.
