An ancient evil is released in the kingdom of Classical after a once-in-a-century ceremony fails to contain it within a mystical orb. The entity takes control of the King and Queen, who then attempt to subdue Prince Soprano. With the help of his guardian knight, Alto, and his pet moondragon, Mezzo, the prince escapes. The trio becomes fugitives as they flee. Alto possesses the force previously used to imprison the evil and seeks to use it to restore balance to the kingdom.
