Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch

In 2010, the Holy Empire of Brittania invaded Japan, which quickly surrendered and was renamed Area 11, with its people labeled Elevens. Lelouch, a Brittania citizen, and his friend Suzaku, an Eleven who holds the title of honorary Brittania citizen, grew up together. Lelouch once dreamed of overthrowing the government, but by high school, he had given up on the idea. After encountering a girl who grants him the ability to control others' minds through Geass, he adopts the identity of Zero, a feared terrorist. He eliminates anyone who opposes his goals, including Suzaku.
