Rouji is a young head clerk at the Mitakaya wholesale shipping agency in Edo in 1853. Known by the nickname Zangetsu, he carries a Colt M1851 Navy revolver, a state-of-the-art weapon for the era. While he appears amiable and promising in his career, he is secretly a key member of the Yoshihira faction, a group of rice brokers who operate in the Edo underworld. Rouji aims to climb the ranks within the organization, using his weapon skills and personal bravery to advance his position.
