An explosion at a chemical plant 19 years prior to 1999 was the result of a secret experiment intended to awaken something buried beneath the city. Harmful particles, dormant for millions of years, spread through the air via factory chimneys. Despite the catastrophe, life continued in the city, with children being born. Entities released during the incident now coexist in the shadows. In 1999, as the children born the year after the accident reach 18, strange occurrences begin in a village at the turn of the century. Young investigators and unidentified creatures appear, while efforts by adults to conceal the truth and the source of the disaster are exposed.
