Natsuki meets a high school girl named Michiko on a rainy day and gives her an umbrella before leaving. Later, she learns that Michiko is related through marriage to her own family. Despite Michiko's reserved and challenging nature, she shows interest in Natsuki. The two form a unique bond, gradually realizing their mutual need for one another. The story includes several bonus short pieces from a 2010 reprint.
