Mikihiko Inaba excels academically and maintains a positive attitude. He shares a close bond with three childhood friends, and together they dreamed of attending a prestigious private high school in Tokyo. However, their goal proved unattainable when Mikihiko fails his entrance exams and is sent to a local public high school instead. Struggling to adjust, he withdraws from social interaction. His friend Keiko tries to reconnect with him and the group, noticing how their personalities have shifted since the setback.
