D.Gray-man: Reverse

A side-story manga collection set within the world of D.Gray-man. The chapters spotlight individual cast members of the Black Order in standalone vignettes. Allen Walker travels through England, where he was born, on his way to headquarters and reunites with Mother, an old nun who once sheltered him and Cross after Mana's death; she asks him to visit a grieving nurse. Subsequent chapters center on Kanda Yuu in a village said to be haunted by a witch, Bak Chan in a comedic interlude, the Millennium Earl across a thousand sorrows, Lavi paired with Doug under the title "The 49th Name," and the assembled exorcists during a Black Order reunion. The volume expands character backgrounds rather than advancing the main plot.
