Dakishimetakunai

A high school student is troubled by his appearance, which frightens others and prevents him from making friends, until a new transfer student with an unusual and striking presence challenges his beliefs. A middle-aged man who loses his job is hired by a student to manage his apartment and provide additional services, leading to a situation where the man begins to question accepting the student's financial support. A wealthy and isolated businessman encounters a conflict with a homeless man and ends up taking him in as a housekeeper, resulting in unexpected developments. A yakuza assassin and a shinigami, both isolated in their own ways, meet and gradually form a bond of love and understanding. In a sequel, the assassin faces an old associate who wants to return him to a life of violence, but his partner is determined to stop it. A short story involving the student and the middle-aged man is also included.
