Stuffed animals in a particular shop grow larger unless adopted by a family. Rio, a teddy bear, has grown big but remains happy with the store's owner and friends. When a mall offers to make him their mascot, Rio prefers to stay. To achieve this, he asks the shop owner, a magician, to transform him into a human. However, the spell is temporary. Rio and the owner must find a way to extend its effects before the mall arrives. The story explores the relationship between Rio, now a boy, and the shop owner, as they navigate this new situation.
