Dangnian Wanli Mi Feng Hou

After being exiled following a failed bid for the throne, Zhong Wan accompanied his young masters and used his past connection with Yu Ziyou to aid his survival. He displayed Yu's belongings and subtly implied a close relationship between them. Leveraging the Yu clan's influence, this pretense allowed Zhong Wan to live more comfortably. Over time, the stories he told grew more elaborate. Rumors of their supposed romance spread, eventually reaching the capital and Yu Ziyou himself. After seven years of hearing these tales, Yu Ziyou began to believe they might be true, thinking something meaningful must have occurred between them in the past.
