Following his divorce, the main character longs to experience love once more. He recalls a childhood friend who has had feelings for him for years and is currently unemployed and living at home. He sees an opportunity to fulfill his emotional needs while also gaining a new housekeeper, all while distracting himself from the pain of his broken marriage.
