Those affected may receive aid from others who refuse to surrender, seeking help from a major corporation researching a cure, despite its secrecy and lack of transparency, even with its employees. Individuals may resort to non-human methods to assist their loved ones, especially when such aid appears appealing. Mona, K2, Rina, Mika, and Shinobu confront Return Syndrome, corporate mysteries, and adversaries of both human and non-human origin. A dragonslayer could also be involved.
