Dian Jiao Zhangwang

In the 1990s in China, a girl named Lin Xiaolu moves to Chengdu with her mother after her parents' divorce. Having faced bullying and exclusion in elementary school due to her calm demeanor and family situation, she transfers to a secondary school focused on art and design, where she excels academically. Her father disapproves of her artistic interests, and she constantly faces comparisons with her high-achieving cousin. In her new environment, she retreats into her imagination and comic books, often observing a senior student named Han Che who visits a small shop. The shop, run by Hu Xu, is filled with books and curios from his travels. Xiaoman, a successful woman, is closely linked to Hu Xu. As Xiaolu becomes part of a social group with Xie Siyao, Su Yan, and others, she gradually overcomes her isolation, though she still feels insecure. The story, spanning six volumes, follows her experiences and invites reflection on personal growth.
