Two girls born on the same day, Baek Cheon and Ye Hwa, were raised together but lived very different lives. Baek Cheon is the last princess of Kangwi, while Ye Hwa is the daughter of her nursemaid. As Baek Cheon prepares for an arranged marriage to the emperor of Daeju, she flees in pursuit of freedom and love. To take her place, Ye Hwa enters the palace disguised as the princess. Using their identical appearances, the two switch places and enter the palace together after facing many challenges. However, the palace is not as luxurious as expected, and it harbors many dark secrets. Now entangled in palace affairs, Ye Hwa leads a perilous double life, alternating between the roles of maid and princess. How this dangerous situation will resolve remains uncertain.
