Inspired by real events, a group of young individuals in Osaka convened at the editorial office of "Kuraku" in 1923. Among them were Kawaguchi Matsutaro and Naoki Sanjūsan, who would later be known as Naoki Sanjūgo. Their shared ambition was to contribute to the literary landscape of Japan during the late Taisho and early Showa periods. The narrative begins with the writer's first chapter, followed by the second chapter focusing on the illustrated painter.
