Shinya runs a shop called Omoiro that caters to both humans and vampires referred to as "bats." For the past decade, he has kept a secret: providing blood to Sunakawa Sanshirou, the man who took care of him during his high school years. After being attacked by a vampire on the way to a dinner, Sunakawa transformed into a "bat." To maintain a bond with him, Shinya chooses to establish a Master and servant dynamic by giving him his blood, hoping this will ensure Sunakawa remains close.
