A 26-year-old NEET named Kentaro investigates his family history at the request of his sister Keiko. He learns about his grandfather Kyuzo Miyabe, a pilot in the Japanese imperial navy who flew the legendary "Zero" fighter aircraft during the war. Kyuzo died in a kamikaze attack. The narrative questions whether he was truly the hero others believe him to be, or if he might instead be viewed as a terrorist or a coward.
