Eiga wa Yokokuhen no Nochi ni Hajimaru

A man named Kanata, who now lives and works in Tokyo, returns to Kyoto after learning that a time capsule from 15 years ago will be opened at his former high school. He remembers Akane Haruta, a girl who died during his final year of school. She was significant to him as both a source of inspiration and his first love. Akane had placed one of the Movie Club’s homemade video tapes into the time capsule. When the tape is viewed, it includes behind-the-scenes footage and a surprising voice message. Kanata, along with his friend Ninomura, actress Kaori, and other former classmates, begins to investigate whether Akane’s death was truly a suicide. The story explores themes of lost youth and reunion as they seek the truth.
