Lerew resides in a coastal village where he earns a living through fishing. To help his ailing father, he exchanges goods with a boy labeled a witch in return for medicine. One day, he ventures into a perilous fishing zone and is thrown into the water, where he is severely injured by sharks. Despite his injuries leaving him unrecognizable, he clings to the will to survive.
