Sakaki Keitoku, also known as Megumi-chan, comes from a lineage that creates written spells to defend humans from "hitonarazu," or "unhuman beings." However, his spells have stopped functioning as intended and now appear to draw these creatures instead. Facing a dire situation, he considers the drastic option of cutting his own neck as a potential means of survival.
