Evangelion: ANIMA

This light novel series presents an alternate universe conclusion to the original *Neon Genesis Evangelion* anime, where the Human Instrumentality Project does not come to completion. It follows the characters, including Shinji Ikari and other pilots, as they age three years and encounter a new future. The series began being published in Japan ten years prior to this description and is the only official light novel series in the franchise. It serves as an extension for fans following the original 1990s anime, which had its first streaming release on Netflix in Spring 2019.
