Evil Eater

In a future where magic is acknowledged as a scientific discipline, individuals with magical abilities are trained and assigned to a government agency as magic enforcers. A technological advancement allows the deceased to be revived through the sacrifice of another life, a process used by courts to restore murder victims. However, the revived, known as Returners, often suffer from a psychological condition called the Bug, causing intense emotions like anger or jealousy to grow uncontrollably. If unchecked, these emotions can manifest as physical monsters. Magic enforcers are tasked with eliminating these manifestations. Nagumo Kento, known as Deep Searcher, is an experienced enforcer who uses his unique ability to draw out the evil. His new partner, Amagi Yoko, nicknamed Evil Eater, is a recent academy graduate and prodigy. As a Debugger, she neutralizes the evil Kento uncovers, her effectiveness surprising even seasoned enforcers. Together, they combat the sources of evil to help Returners live their second lives.
